Method Of Making Thread Bound Books
Paper (A4 paper, etc.)
Folded A4 paper: A folded A4 paper is 4 pages, 50 folded sheets are 200 pages, which is equivalent to the thickness of a normal book. In order to facilitate punching holes with a hole puncher, 50 sheets of A4 paper are usually divided into 5 parts, each with 10 sheets and 40 pages.
Hole puncher and thread
(strength difference from ordinary needle and thread)
Use a hole puncher to punch holes along the fold line of the A4 paper. Only three binding holes are needed. After punching the first two holes of the paper, move the hole puncher and align it with the middle hole position of the paper, and then punch out the third hole.
After punching each part, you can also add the parts that have been punched before and punch them again. That is to enlarge the size of the hole, making it easier for the thread to pass through.
Threading tool (chopsticks, etc.)
Binding with thread: There are many methods of using thread on the internet. For specific operations, you still have to rely on your own practice. Here, I will briefly mention 2 issues that need to be paid attention to when using thread (relatively flexible).
Length: The double thread is usually 2.5 meters – 3 meters. If folded twice, four single threads: The total length is 10 meters – 12 meters. Number of holes: Between each hole position, go back and forth 3 times.
That’s all.
